There are three primary strategies adults
use to influence teen decisions about sexual activity:
1. The Sleeping Beauty Method: A super-protective mode meant to keep a child from having any sexual thoughts until age 25.
2. Lowering the Bar: The sexual equivalent of saying“Honey you’re so stupid, we don’t expect you to get good grades.”
3. Data Dumping: Information download aimed at scaring the hormones out of them.
The BAD news is, none of them work. The GOOD news is, there are easier techniques that do.
