He told me several teachers were debating whether high school students were even able to process the material they would be given as a result of this training class. They were concerned about the intensity of the units on sexual assault and human sex trafficking as examples. All of them thought 9th grade/14 yrs old was too young for such explicit material. (I’ve seen it. The material is intense.)
What’s ironic however, is that all the instructors and program developers believe children as young as middle school are capable of making a “responsible” decision to BE sexually active!
If they can’t handle the intensity of the information, how can they possibly handle the consequences of the decision?
