Session One: “Designed to Connect: Communication 101”
Men and women don't think alike, process alike or get the same things out of conversation. Our practical explanation of those differences will increase
your ability to understand each other.
Session Two: “Designed to Enhance: His Needs, Her Needs”
The top emotional needs for men are at the bottom for women and vice versa. Couples often try to meet needs their partner doesn’t actually have,
and then fail to meet the ones they do.
Session Three: “Designed to Fit: Designer Sex”
God was on a roll when He invented sex,
but both the world and religion can rob couples of His great gift.
What are the "format options"?
Going away for a weekend is ideal, because it helps remove couples from their routines and the distractions of daily living. But in tougher financial times there are other options. Each session takes about 2 hours. They can be scheduled on consecutive weeks (i.e.: Three Friday nights or 3 Saturday mornings) or consecutive nights (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
We are very flexible and want to do what will work for YOU.
What are the setting requirements?
The only requirements are comfort and room to move. Because the interactive applications invite couples to discuss delicate issues, environments which can be adapted for privacy work best. A home with a large great room can work just was well as a "fellowship hall" in a church. It is NOT necessary to rent a banquet facility or meeting room if you're not going away on retreat.
Who will lead the Retreat?
Jim and Karen Kropf from Positively Waiting. They developed this workshop to combat the cultural rejection of marriage. Follow the Divine Design and your marriage can be loving, fun and sexually satisfying!
What is appropriate attire?
Be comfortable, but be considerate of those who
want to keep their thoughts off sexual imagery.
What if somone can’t make all 3 sessions?
Each session is a stand-alone workshop, so you won’t be
completely disconnected if you can only make two out of three.
Will "unchurched" friends be comfortable joining us?
Absolutely! We welcome a chance to share the skills and principles of the Divine Design with them without requiring them to understand "Christianese."
